The following from the Terre Haute Star gives the details of the death of John Foster, which was noted last week: "John S. Foster, 47 years old, a barber, formerly of Montezuma, was found dead in a room in the rear of David Harper's Barber Shop, 415 North Fourth Street, about 7:30 Monday morning. Coroner Leavitt was called and after an examination of the body, pronounced death to heart failure. Foster had been in Terre Haute about two months. He was supposed to open the shop, but Monday when the proprietor came to the place the doors were closed. An investigation revealed the body of the barber in bed in the rear room." John S. Foster was well known here, having been proprietor of the King Hotel Barber Shop for several years. He left here about a year ago, working Indianapolis, Clinton, Terre Haute and other places. He leaves a wife and two children - Howard, aged 23, and Cleatice, aged 14. The funerl at Clinton on Thursday of last week was conducted by the Barber's Union. Foster lived here a number of years. Mrs. Foster is a niece of Mrs. U.S. Litsey and a sister of Mrs. Ben Bilbo. -- kbz
